Chabahar Commercial-Industrial Free Zone

Chabahar Free Trade Zone is one of the seven free zones in Iran, which was founded in the early 1370s alongside Chabahar and around the Oman Sea and the Indian Ocean, in line with its economic goals.

The Chabahar Free Zone with an area of 14,000 hectares is located in the southeastern tip of Iran at 25 degrees and 20 minutes north latitude and 60 degrees and 27 minutes east longitude east of the Chabahar Gulf and along the waters of the Oman Sea. The area is connected by land and air transportation network from the north to the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan, from east to Pakistan and from the south to the Indian Ocean. Direct access to free waters and outside the Persian Gulf, as well as non-vulnerability in the event of a crisis, has provided a strategic position for the establishment of a communication link between the countries of Central Asia and other countries of the world.

Chabahar port is of great importance because of the strategic location, which is the closest way to access the waters of the Central Asian states (Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) to the free waters, and there is a lot of construction and investment; Including the construction of a dock and increased capacity for loading ocean vessels and railways to Central Asia and the construction of an international airport.

This port is one of the most important crossroads of the North-South corridor and the East-West of the World Trade.

Making international airports, dragging railways to connect with Iran's overall railways, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, and increasing the ports for loading Ocean vessels is one of the most important development programs in Chabahar.

In Chabahar, the industrial free trade zone has many advantages (such as exempting 15-year income and wealth, and many exemptions and customs and commercial and capital privileges). Apart from these, this area also has other general advantages, such as:

• The closest and easiest access to free waters for the countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan

• Connect to land and land, which does not cost the discharge and loading as Qeshm and Kish

• Having two berths of Shahid Kalantari and Shahid Beheshti Harbor with a capacity of about 70 thousand tons

• Access to the international airport and the roads

• Higher education centers

• Avoid the busy and tense region of the Persian Gulf and connect directly to the Indian Ocean

• The existence of a variety of facilities and benefits for investment and commerce

• Ever-spring weather in all seasons

• Having plenty of natural and historical attractions
